The lake is ready, and the organisers are ready for this year’s 10th Anniversary South Coast Lake Eland Mile, which is taking place on the 30th October, in the heart of the Oribi Gorge on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast.
The question is – are you ready?
The Lake Eland Mile is one of only two open water swims that take place in KwaZulu-Natal and it is fast becoming a firm favourite amongst water lovers given the picturesque environment and choice of races.
The event caters for swimmers of all abilities, and distances range from 500m to 3km. Whether you’re a first time swimmer, a pool swimmer, a triathlete looking for some extra swimming training or an experienced open water swimmer, there is an event for everyone. After the swim, hang out and enjoy the picturesque Lake Eland Game Reserve with spectacular views of the Oribi Gorge and abundant wildlife.
With only a few weeks to go, the organisers are encouraging swimmers in all categories to complete their online entries.
